Vader finish recording new album Tibi Et Igni

Legendary Polish extreme metal outfit Vader have just completed the recording process of their new album Tibi Et Igni, which is the follow-up to their 2011 release Welcome To The Morbid Reich. The new album is pencilled for release on 2nd June via Nuclear Blast. The band recorded the album at Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland and it was produced by Wojtek and Slawek Wiesawski. The band comments:

The Fire was released!! The word made flesh and new Vader album – Tibi Et Igni – is done! We were working four weeks in Hertz Studio between December and February. 10 brand new songs plus 4 bonus tracks are recorded and ready for YOU. Two songs in special mix versions shall be released as 7” yet in April. The whole album at the end of May. In April and May Vader and Nuclear Blast are preparing some videos to close up the process of work and the album itself. Be ready for interviews and other surprise until Tibi Et Igni will be in your hands. The absolute heaviest Vader album in the history!!!! Demons are knocking to your door now!

Behemoth’s Nergal discusses imagery and concept behind video for Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel

Polish extreme metal legends Behemoth recently unveiled their video for Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel and it’s one of the most visual displays released by the band, as well as their most unique and startling masterpiece. The song is taken form the band’s upcoming album The Satanist, which was produced by Behemoth, Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawscy and Daniel Bergstrand in Hertz Studio. It was then mixed by Matt Hyde (Slayer) and mastered by Ted Jensen (Metallica, AC/DC) at Sterling Sound. The cover art, which is also being revealed today, is a painting by renowned Russian painter and occultist, Denis Forkas. Nergal‘s own blood was used in the paint when creating the cover artwork and additional artwork was created by Metastazis and Zbigniew Bielak.

Nuclear Blast, whom the band are currently signed to, recently had a chat with Behemoth’s frontman Nergal. The video below Nergal explains the concept behind the video and how Grupa 13 were able to make the band’s masterpiece a reality.
