Famous for their marketing skills, Protest The Hero have come up with yet another original idea. The band has announced that the artwork revealed a couple of weeks ago is in fact just the image for the digital download of their new album “Volition”. To see the “real” cover you will need to get an app and interact with other fans:

» Today (1st October) we launch a unique, interactive fan-sourcing experience to reveal the Jeff Jordan-created artwork for our forthcoming album, “Volition”.  Playing off the night vision-equipped vultures featured in the artwork, each fan’s visibility is restricted to the immediate area surrounding their cursor, giving them limited access to the illustration.  Each visitor’s viewfinder moves simultaneously amongst the others, forming a real-time flock of crowd-sourced clarity – fans must work together to expand their collective vision and reveal the artwork in its entirety.  The link for the app is: «

“Volition” will be released on October 28th via Spinefarm Records and is now available for pre-order at the following locations:

The UK dates of their European tour will be supported by Tesseract & The Safety Fire and Intervals:
01.02.14 UK Brighton @ Concorde 2
02.02.14 UK Birmingham @ O2 Academy2
04.02.14 UK Sheffield @ Corporation
05.02.14 UK Glasgow @ Classic Grand
06.02.14 UK Manchester @ Academy2
07.02.14 UK London @ The Electric Ballroom
