Soulfly to tour through the UK next month

Supporting their ninth studio album “Savages”, Soulfly are currently touring in Europe (click here to see the dates). The UK leg, which includes two festivals, will begin next month:

Bonded By Blood announce headline UK tour

Chaotic Tapestry Management, who are one of the UK’s leading booking and management agencies for extreme metal, are proud to announce that they will be bringing back Southern California’ thrash metal merchants Bonded By Blood for a UK tour in May. The band comments:

We’re very excited to announce that we will be returning to the UK for a short headlining tour. Our fans over seas never disappoint and we want to express our thanks by giving them a new set with a few surprises. This is going to be a tour you won’t want to miss and it’s an exclusive treat to our fans in the UK. See you in the pit!!!

Bonded By Blood will be touring the UK in support of their third studio album The Aftermath, having last made appearances across the UK on Vader’s Back To The Black European Tour which took place January and February 2013.

The Aftermath was released July 2012 via Earache Records and was produced by Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly). The album was also the first to feature new vocalist Mauro Gonzales, who joined the band in 2010 and new bass player, Jessie Sanchez. Joining Bonded By Blood will be the UK’s very own Flayed Disciple who also appeared on part of Vader’s Back To The Black European Tour and Seprevation who have been making waves across the UK and beyond over the last two years.

Another video from Soulfly-Max Cavalera interview with Nuclear Blast

After the trailers for the new album (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5) and a small chat about the Cavalera family, Nuclear Blast has now revealed another part of that conversation with Max Cavalera, where the frontman talks about attending and being expelled from a religious school, the death of his father and rocking with his grandchildren:

“Savages”, Soulfly‘s 8th album, will be out next Monday.

Soulfly: Max and Zyon Cavalera talk about family and the upcoming album

Soulfly posts two more trailers for “Savages”

Max Cavalera & Co. (including his son Zyon) have been releasing trailers for the upcoming Soulfly album “Savages“. This should hit the North American stores on September 30th and the European ones on October 4th, via Nuclear Blast, and It’s available for pre-order at this location.

In the two latest ones – already the 4th and 5th – Max speaks about the concept of the album and how it’s like to work with producer Terry Date:

Soulfly post third studio trailer for new album; Savages

Metal legends Soulfly, who are spearheaded by the iconic frontman Max Cavalera, have recently released the third studio trailer for their new album; Savages. You can watch the latest update down below. Savages is scheduled for release on 30^th September through Nuclear Blast. You can also check out the band’s lyric video for Bloodshed at this location. The video was created by Tommy Antonini, guitarist for Italian hardcore band Tasters.

Soulfly unveil lyric video for Bloodshed, taken from upcoming album

Metal icons Soulfly, who were founded by the legendary frontman and guitarist Max Cavalera, have released the lyric video for Bloodshed, which is taken from their upcoming album Savages as the first single. The lyric video, which can be viewed below, was created by Tommy Antonini, who is the guitarist for Italian post-hardcore unit Tasters.

The song, Bloodshed, features Cavalera’s son Igor on guest vocals, who has already played with the band on their recent run of European dates. Commenting onBloodshed, Max said the following:

The song is about the absurdity of the human condition in territories plagued by bloodshed all over the world. Not just recent events like Iraq, but also historical conflicts such as the U.S. Civil War, World Wars I and II, etc.

Savages is due for release via Nuclear Blast on 30^th September. The artwork was created by renowned artist Paul Stottler, who is best known for Sacred Reich’s legendary Surf Nicaragua cover. Produced, engineered and mixed by renowned sound guru Terry Date (Pantera, Deftones, White Zombie), Savages will be released as a limited edition digpack CD, 2LP vinyl and digital download. Guest vocal appearances on Savages include bass player Tony Campos, Max Cavalera‘s son Igor Cavalera (Lody Kong), Clutch‘s Neil Fallon, Napalm Death‘s Mitch Harris and Jamie Hanks of I Declare War fame.

Soulfly release first video update for upcoming studio album

Soulfly have posted their first video update for their upcoming untitled ninth studio album. The album was produced by Terry Date (Pantera, Deftones, Soudngarden) and is the first album to feature Max Cavalera’s 21 year old son, Zyon, on drums. The video update can be viewed below.

As if there was a more metal way to come into the world, Zyon’s heartbeat in utero served as the intro to Sepultura’s 1993 classic RIAA-gold-certified record Chaos A.D. Max would depart Sepultura soon after the release of Roots in 1996. Ever since the band’s gold-certified debut in 1998, Soulfly have become deadlier and more dangerous with each critically acclaimed successive release, and their upcoming album will be no exception. Expect a release tentatively in the Fall of this year via Nuclear Blast.
