The UK’s leading folk/Viking/black metal festival, Warhorns, has announced four more bands for this year’s line-up. All four bands hail from the northern areas of England and represent the North’s metal scene exceedingly well. Shades of Avalon, Iron SeaWolf, Forneus and Gods of War, join the lineup alongside Aloeswood, Sellsword and Red Rum to what is sure to be a great metal festival for the viking that lives in all of us metalhead.
FORNEUS
Hailing from Sheffield. Forneus are a black metal band incorporating elements of doom, death metal, melodic passages, key changes and dynamic shifts. They will surely bring an interesting change of pace to Warhorns.

GODS OF WAR
Invading from Liverpool, these Gods will show no mercy. They have consistently defied “sub genre” classification, as their music takes influence from many metal subgenres, including black, death, power, thrash and folk metal among others. The band has undergone various lineup changes in recent years, resulting in changes in musical direction.

IRON SEAWOLF
Next on the list is Cumbrian buccaneers, Iron Seawolf. Playing heavy/power metal with anthemic sea shanties and a hint of folk tuning with swashbuckling orchestrations and the occasional dash of thrash and punk. There’s no reason not to be excited about this booking.
