Metal Blade Records have excitedly announced the signing of a worldwide deal with Nonpoint, thus meaning that Metal Blade will not only act as the label home for the band worldwide but as a partner to the band’s label in North America as well. Since their debut album, Statement, was unleashed on the world, Nonpoint have done nothing but prove, record after record, they can still dominate stages and radio airwaves everywhere. Their most current “self-titled” release was their most critically-acclaimed and landed them their two highest charting singles. Now, with their recent signing to label powerhouse, Metal Blade Records, they are making the biggest statement of their careers. Elias Soriano, the band’s vocalist, comments:

This is a dream situation for us. Just getting an offer from Metal Blade. We’ve always needed a team behind us outside of the U.S. It’s a great feeling knowing you now have the best team possible.

Drummer Robb Rivera comments:

We are excited to not only get THE worldwide label of labels to release our album outside of the US, but to be part of a family now that has pretty much set the bar for metal releases for 30 plus years. Needless to say, extremely excited to be able to get our music to the fans outside of the US through the team that helped launch Metallica.

Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records adds:

All of us at Metal Blade are happy to welcome Nonpoint to the Metal Blade family. We are excited to work with them and the bit of new material I heard sounds great!

Dead Summer Society Signs with Rain Without End Records

Posted in News with tags , , on 5th July 2012 by izaforestspirit

We are very pleased to announce the signing of the Italian gothic/doom metal project DEAD SUMMER SOCIETY. DEAD SUMMER SOCIETY is the solo project of Mist (guitarist of How like a winter) and features collaborations with various male and female vocalists. Rain Without End Records will release DEAD SUMMER SOCIETY’s next full length album in 2013 and future releases after that.

DEAD SUMMER SOCIETY is a doom/gothic/dark/atmospheric/metal one man project from Italy created by guitarist and composer Mist (also guitarist in How like a winter). Mist writes and performs all of the music and instruments himself and collaborates with multiple vocalists.

DEAD SUMMER SOCIETY’s music can be described as a multiform soundscape with a dark, experimental approach. Folk, ambient and electronic elements blended with a hint of death/black metal build upon a main architecture of doom metal. Growls, screams and clean male vocals are sometimes enriched with beautiful female singing to create a fascinating, yet obscure, balance. The music features a captivating, evocative musical structure which makes for a mutable kaleidoscope of styles and sounds.

After the debut album “Visions from a thousand lives”, self released in 2012, which got very good feedback, Mist is now working on the second DEAD SUMMER SOCIETY’s album with more singers/musicians collaborations. The new album will be released by Rain Without End Records in 2013.

Rain Without End Records is a new doom metal based sub label of Naturmacht Productions.

Mysticum Sign To Peaceville

Posted in News with tags , , , , , , on 19th March 2012 by Nico Solheim-Davidson, the North Sea Poet

Peaceville Records have proudly announced the signing of cult Norwegian band Mysticum, which will result in the release of the long-rumoured second studio album, Planet Satan, a record almost 15 years in the making. Unifying the core trio of Herr General Cerastes, Svartravn and Mean Malmberg, Mysticum will commence work on the new album shortly.

One of the pioneering industrial black metal forces to emerge in the early 90’s, Mysticum brought to the world a completely unique brand of psychedelic discordant black metal with insane drum machine patterns and synths. They were originally signed to Euronymous‘ Deathlike Silence Productions label, such was his belief in the band. However, this venture proved to be cut short following his murder, forcing Mysticum to look elsewhere for the release of their eventual debut album, In the Streams of Inferno.

Mysticum‘s past releases, consisting of 1996’s In the Streams of Inferno and the collection of the band’s other works, Lost Masters of the Universe, will both be re-released by Peaceville with new artwork and with a remastered sound, along with bonus material. Release dates for these titles, plus Planet Satan will be announced in time.

The band stated: Mysticum is back! A few months ago we decided to gather forces again, and finally start the making of the cursed album Planet Satan. After considering several offers and going through negotiations, we decided to sign with Peaceville Records in order to have a proper record label to back us up. Peaceville will handle our complete discography and also make our old material available. So along with “Planet Satan” you can expect re-releases of “In the Streams of Inferno” and “Lost Masters of the Universe“. Stay tuned for more folks!
