Vintersorg and Metal Hammer proudly present the first video ever in the career of the Swedish folk black metal band (see it here). According to Mr. V: “We’re actually doing a video for the new Vintersorg album ”Naturbål” and the track chosen is called ”Lågornas rov”. It’s our first professional video ever and I feel it has a great potential to show what the song and the album is all about. The album is the “Fire” album in our four-element-cycle and there are some things that I think can be nice for you to learn about, regarding this important step in the Vintersorg history.”

“Naturbål” will be released on June 30th 2014 via Napalm Records, as well as the re-release of their very first album “Till Fjälls” on vinyl.

Posted in News with tags , , , , , , , on 28th August 2013 by Nico Solheim-Davidson

Sweden’s Shining, who are fronted by the infamous Niklas Kvarforth, have debuted a track from their upcoming album 8 ½ – Feberdrömmar I Vaket Tillstånd which is due for release through Dark Essence Records. The album features tracks that date back to the band’s Livets Ändhållplats and Angst era. 8 ½ – Feberdrömmar I Vaket Tillstånd is described as a rare foray for the band, in that all the tracks bar one, feature vocalists hand picked by Shining founder and frontman Niklas Kvarforth. The fourth track, Selvdestruktivitetens Emissarie, of the six track release features Gaahl (God Seed, Wardruna, ex-Gorgoroth) on vocals and is currently being streamed by Metal Hammer at this location.

The tracks on 8 ½ – Feberdrömmar I Vaket Tillstånd are still in their original pre-production format to which have been added newly recorded bass and guitars, as well as keyboards by  Lars Fredrik Fröslie (Angst), whose sound is a relatively new addition to Shining‘s releases. , having not being used before the sixth album. The track listing plus guest vocalists are as follow:

  • 1. Terres Des Anonymes featuring Famine of Peste Noire
  • 2. Szabadulj Meg Önmagadtól featuring Attila Csihar of Mayhem and Tormentor
