Eyes Set To Kill release “Behind The Scenes” video for forthcoming album Masks

During in the time that lead upto the pre-production of their upcoming album Masks, Eyes Set To Kill decided to not worry about expectations and just demo two of their strongest new songs: True Colors and Nothing Left To Say. As a result of the two anthemic, catchy songs, the band landed a deal with Century Media Records. Guitarist, singer and songwriter Alexia Rodriguez commented:

Those two songs served as a blueprint for the entire record. When we were writing, I didn’t try to do what everybody else does. We didn’t need to throw a ton of riffs into one song or get overly technical. I wanted to make music that was catchy.

With that train of though, the band retreated to a studio in South California with renowned producer Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Sepultura). During that process, Alexia evolved hugely as the band’s main songwriter and the band’s sound expanded because of this. For the first time, Cisko added staggering screams and vocals, building the harmonies and everything became amplified from the heaviness to the hooks.

Masks will be in released 23rd September via Century Media Records in Europe and Australia/NZ.

Eyes Set To Kill premier lyric video for Lost And Forgotten

Posted in News with tags , , , , on 30th July 2013 by Nico Solheim-Davidson, the North Sea Poet

Eyes Set To Kill, whom are led by the lovely sisters Alexia and Anissa Rodriguez, will be uncovering their identity on 23rd September with the release of Masks – their fifth full length album – via Century Media. The concept behind the album is the idea that at some point or another, everybody wears a mask and that facades don’t just hide imperfections or insecurities either. It allows its wearer to assume a different face. Sometimes, that’s a dangerous proposition. Other times, it’s the only way to find oneself.

ESTK have release the lyric video for Lost And Forgotten which is the first song to be released from the album. The lyric video can be viewed below.
