The Cradle of Filth frontman Dani Filth (also of Devilment),

is due to play the character of Dr Lon Carlson, an occult expert, in the upcoming horror movie, BAPHOMET, directed by Matthan Harris and released by Incisive Pictures.

Here is the synopsis and the official movie poster.

An American family celebrates their 28-year-old daughter’s pregnancy. The celebration is interrupted when a Satanic cult leader, Henrik Brandr, unexpectedly visits their ranch.
Henrik offers to pay the family a large sum for ownership of their land, claiming it is sacred to his congregation. Jacob Richardson, the father, rejects the offer due to the priceless sentimental value of the ranch. Henrik, displeased, begins to put devastating curses on the Richardsons, trying to force them off their land – even if it means murdering them.
After suffering unexplainable tragedies, the Richardsons seek help from Marybeth, a white witch high priestess. They soon discover a terrible secret about their house, revealing why their land is sacred to the cult. They realize they must protect their house from the cult at all costs, and a violent battle between good and evil ensues.

Posted in Misc., News with tags , , on 22nd March 2015 by izaforestspirit

The legendary rocker Gene Simmons of KISS fame is the latest musician to try his hand at making horror movies. During a recent appearance on the Talk Is Jericho podcast with Chris Jericho, Mr. Simmons unveiled a plan to produce a series of horror movies.

The same discussion with Jericho offered some insight as to what type of horror Simmons would like to produce. The KISS singer is a big fan of psychological horror flicks like Alfred Hichcock’s classic Psycho and Insidious.

This new venture has began and here’s an update from the man himself:
I have a film fund and we’re starting the first of four right away,” says Simmons. “The first one is Devil’s Triangle and it starts shooting [in] May.”

Fallen Fate post first part of studio update, new album in the works

Fallen Fate have released a studio update, showing their recent time in the studio recording their next release Into The Black. The concept album will be released on 30th January. The band who recently came 4th place in Terrorizer Magazine’s top unsigned bands of 2013 spent early last year in Stymphalian Productions in York with producer James Stephenson recording a couple of studio updates along the way so we could get a feel of what to expect from the band’s second release and follow-up to 2011’s The Virus Has Spread. The studio update video can be viewed below.

Vocalist Lee Skinner had this to say about Into the Black:

Based on a horror movie theme around a young girl called Vespa the concept of Into The Black plays a big part in how the album sounds and how it is visually portrayed through the artwork and upcoming videos. It contributed to the evolving sound of the band as we introduced more keyboards and experimental sounds into the mix, giving it a different dark feel and sound.

Supported by a release show in The Forum, Darlington, the album is set for release January 30th 2014.
