Black/Death Metal

A short intro starts off the album with a good use of 80’s sounding Sci-Fi effects combined with a demonic voice chanting sodomatic rites and sets the tone for the next track.
In addition, throughout this album the guttural vocals are just outstanding. They give each of the songs a somewhat creepy atmosphere, but in such a way that with every song it just makes you want to start up a huge Mosh pit and batter the living shit out of anybody or anything that dares to get in your way.
Bassist W Horepacher’s playing is a key reason as to why this album sounds as good as it does, and just gives it the extra sharpness the album needs to make further impact!
You have J Violator on lead guitar shredding some truly amazing riffs. His work is a personal favorite of mine and I feel his playing shines through the most on the tracks “Slut” and the title track – “Sodomatik Rites of I.N.R.I“.
Overall this album is heavy, dark, fast, and really doesn’t give a shit whether you like it or not, because at the end of the day, it’s here, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
It will make your ears bleed and knock your teeth down your throat!
Now I must admit – I’m not that much of a black metal fan. However, this album intrigues me; it makes me want to start listening to black metal and death metal more often than I have been.
